Sweepstakes casino enthusiasts have been singing Scrooge’s praises for some time now, so I recently set myself a task – to try out the platform for myself and write up a Scrooge review.
What I found surprised me, and I’ve a feeling it’ll surprise you, too. Scrooge offers 150+ games, all sourced from top software houses. They also offer a rather generous new customer bonus, good for 2 million Gold Coins (GC) and 250 Sweeps Tokens (ST). And to top it all off? They won’t expect you to jump through hoops to claim it.

If, like myself, you’ve a bit of a thing for big, chunky bonuses, you’re not going to be disappointed by Scrooge’s latest.
Now, I recently put out a full-blown Scrooge bonus review that went into painstaking detail about how the offer works, so I’m not going to dig too deep right here.
The main thing you need to know is that the following is up-for-grabs:
To get these goodies, all you need to do is register a newbie account from an eligible US state, which includes 46 states, the exceptions being MI, ID, AZ, and WA.
You can legally register with Scrooge and enjoy their 150+ games in all the states and regions listed in the table below. If your neck of the woods makes the cut, be sure to take advantage of this behemoth bonus.
I had a real good dig around in every nook and cranny of the Scrooge website when putting together my Scrooge reviews, and I have to say, this is a very lovingly-put-together slice of sweepstakes casino pie.
The brand might’ve gone for a cutesy cartoon duck as its mascot, yet its site doesn’t come across as cheesy or kitschy in the slightest. On the contrary, I found it gave off a rather glamorous and sophisticated air, thanks in part to:
Layout-wise, games are organized into no-nonsense, 3×3 grids that make navigation a cinch. There’s even a scrollable game lobby, too. I fired-up a few games as part of a loading times test, and found that everything was pretty instantaneous, too – even when flitting between more complex digital games like 3D Roulette and Wildchemy. It’s all lag-free fun here.
Locating the likes of your account page or Gold Coin package purchase options is a doddle, too – just use the top toolbar. Those of you who, like myself, have always found ol’ Scrooge McDuck to be a bit on the creepy side will be happy to hear the guy doesn’t rear his head as much as you might think, either.
Nope. There are no Scrooge apps available for download on either Google Play or the App Store, but I’m not gonna let that drag down my Scrooge ratings one iota.
Why? Well, the team behind the platform (hint: it isn’t Scrooge McDuck himself running the show here) has optimized the brand’s site to be totally mobile-friendly. And for me, this approach works.
You won’t need to clog-up your phone or tablet’s storage space with any downloads to start playing at Scrooge’s 150+ games. What’s more, whether you’re playing from a Samsung Galaxy Tab or a iPhone 15 Pro, the user-experience is identical – right down to the scrollable game lobby and 3×3 grid layout.
Quick reminder: Scrooge is a sweepstakes casino, and like all sweepstakes casinos, you don’t have to make any purchases to start playing here.
Having said that, Scrooge serves-up a whole bunch of different GC package purchase options for players like you and I to choose from – and trusted payment options are available, too, including:
Now, in my view, GC package purchases are worth considering here, because you’ll be able to bag some pretty epic ST bonuses every time you buy a GC bundle. Some of the top packages up-for-grabs right now, include:
GC coin package + free ST bonus | Cost |
---|---|
Buy 500,000 GC and get 500 free ST. | $5 |
Buy 2,500,000 GC and get 2,500 free ST. | $9.99 |
Buy 25,000,000 GC and get 25,000 free ST. | $250 |
I have to be honest, it’s top Scrooge ratings from me on the payments front. The banking options supported are all legit, purchase transactions are processed instantly across the board, and no additional fees are charged at Scrooge’s end. Ace.
So, payments are quick-and-easy and usability is top-tier, but is the brand’s customer support team up-to-scratch? Well, we all know how annoying it is to have to wait around for answers when you’ve got a burning question about a sweepstakes casino’s games or bonuses, right? And I’m happy to say that’s not an experience you’re ever likely to encounter here.
Why? Well, customer support options are plentiful. You can contact the brand either:
Email:? I found will usually see you get a reply in 24 hours or less
X or Facebook: Much quicker – think 20 mins to 2 hours, tops.
The brand’s pretty active on both social media platforms, and you won’t have any trouble locating their legit accounts, either, as Scrooge scam accounts are few and far between, and Scrooge offers direct links to both profiles at the bottom of its homepage. Staff are friendly, too, though only English support is available. But most of you are fine with that, right?
Scrooge is a sweepstakes casino that really plays by the rules – and you should, too. State-level licenses aren’t really make or break in the sweepstakes casino world, but it’s worth knowing that this is a site with a superb rep, and it’s been verified as legal in 46 different US states, too, with only WA, ID, MI, and AZ gamers unable to play here.
I went down a bit of a T&Cs rabbit hole when putting together these Scrooge ratings for USA players, and I also unearthed the following:
Scrooge uses Random Number Generators (RNG) – meaning slots game outcomes are always legit.
SSL encryption is in full-force, too – meaning your data is totally secure.
Yep indeedy. There’s a Scrooge login bonus you can claim daily, which will award you some free GC or ST every day, though the amounts you’ll receive are likely to vary each time. You guys can also claim:
A bit of bad news, though – Scrooge doesn’t appear to offer a VIP or loyalty program just yet. Of course, frequent tournaments and daily challenges can be enjoyed, though. These are usually announced first on X and/or FB.
I waded knee-deep through the fun-filled duck pond of Scrooge’s 150+ games when writing this Scrooge review, and here’s what I… swam? into.
The brand offers a whole bunch of different games spanning myriad genres, with the following ones taking center stage on the homepage:
Of course, it doesn’t end there, though – there’s an in-house keno game, a “Coming Soon” section chock-full of surprises and a decent range of must-have classics like 3D Roulette, Titan Strike and Shark Frenzy. Will you get bored playing here? Ha, I really doubt it. Especially as most games are powered by either Hacksaw, KA or Relax Gaming. Ace.
Believe it or not, I’m often asked this, so here goes. All Scrooge games – like those you’ll find at most other sweepstakes casinos – are powered by either Gold Coins or Sweeps Tokens. The former are your basic, “just-for-fun” coins, used for entertainment purposes. The latter are a sweepstakes currency where your winnings can be redeemed for alternative prizes. However, you will need to satisfy a T&C or two before you can redeem them.
The actual SC-to-prize process isn’t anything to sweat over, though. Head to the redemption page, pick a prize, and you’ll be able to receive it via either CashApp or PayPal within 72 hours or less. The key caveats to be mindful of are that your bonus ST have a 1x playthrough requirement, and you’ll need to collect 10,000 ST or more before you can request a redemption. And that’s it, really.
Many Scrooge reviews out there have praised the brand’s speedy ST redemptions and nicely-balanced game selection, and I definitely agree that both are tip-top.
Where Scrooge really comes into its own, mind, is with that 2 million GC plus 250 ST bonus – which is playable on any games you like and, let’s face it, colossal in size compared to what many competitors are offering right now. Better yet, you can claim daily reloads and other promotions on top of it. Incredible stuff.
I clocked the grand total at around 150, made-up of slots, tables, fish games and even poker. Compare Scrooge’s game selection to what competitors are offering with my latest sweepstakes casino guides.
You can, but the big, mean duck hasn’t dropped an app on the App Store just yet. Your best bet? Visit their regular website via Safari or Chrome, then check out the awesome games.
I can say wholeheartedly, categorically, no. This is a legit sweepstakes casino site that’s available in 46 different states. Find out where you can and can’t play in my full Scrooge review.
Now, we all know most sweepstakes casinos out there have their good, bad, and ugly elements but Scrooge kinda bucks the trend here to be honest with you. I really can’t think of much bad to say about the site at all, aside from the fact they don’t have a loyalty program right now – though some commenters suggest this is currently a work-in-progress. And as for the ugly… well, does Scrooge McDuck’s weird little face count?
Generally, the second I registered here, I felt like I was home. The site is super-simple to find your way around, that sign-up bonus is fit for a king, and the brand’s game portfolio is well-balanced and chock-full of big-name games. Good news all round, I say.
